Cleaning rear bumper..(white)
I don't know why, but it seems like my rear bumper get dirty quick and it does'nt clean up like the rest of the car after a wash. Does anyone else have this problem?, and how do you clean it?
Is it just because the grimy stuff settles on the flat part of the bumper?? If thats the case just get a damp rag and whipe it down good... I've got a pressure washer so i spray it all off then wipe it down good. Hope i helped
the rear of any car is the low pressure zone when you drive, so dirt and debris will get sucked right to it. what's worse, any oil from underneath the car (even if your not leaking any fluids on the ground there may be a little on your undercarriage) will get sucked onto the rear, in turn attracting more dirt.
that would definitely explain why it gets dirtier faster, but as for why it won't come clean? no ideas. simple green is definitely the shizz though. lol read the recommended uses on the bottle. it's like, EVERYTHING.

I don't have that problem, and again, mine isn't white but, I do the following on grime prone area:
Apply prewax cleaner and give it a good coat of wax.
Having a good coat of wax reduces cleaning time and easier to maintain.
Simple green is good, but, orange stuff works really well without damagning paint. I use them periodically for tar and stubbon bug splat.

my car is running riduculously rich (getting 4 mpg) and on top of all that my cat had a hole in it and clogged which made the pressure coming out from my exhaust very poor. the little bit of air coming out of there had the blackest carbons and unburnt fuel u'd seen. i've been using a mix of dishwashing soap i.e. palmolive with a liiiiiiiitle bit of ajax or comet, and the thing comes right out from my back bumper
** note **
i only did this cuz my bumper has small parts where the stains can't be taken out. i don't know if this will **** up ur paint or not, i only did this cuz i'm planning on getting a paint job on my car once i solve the richness problem
oh and btw, i took the cats off and running a straight pipe now and i don't get the black stuff all over my rear bumper now. i didn't leave the ajax mix on too long, as soon as i was done scrubbing i'd hose it off
hope this helps someone

I don't know about using ajax on the paint.
That's the reason for having rubbing compound and cleaner for your paint.
But again, if you are comfortable using ajax on your paint... Go at it.
I personally wouldn't, though.
