Cleaning fuel injectors without removing them completely?

Cleaning fuel injectors without removing them completely?
My FC is my daily driver, and as much as I'd love to pull the injectors out and send them for a cleaning, I can't because it's going to mean at least a week w/o a car, and I can't do that at this point.
I'm trying to find some ways to clean them without having to send them out, and so far I've heard a couple of things like use double doses of injector cleaner for a couple of tanks, and even do things like put 3 gallons of unleaded in, and then 1/5 gallons of diesel (I've heard this actually works quite well).
I don't think any in-tank solution is really going to solve all my problems, but I'm hoping they could help.
Right now she smokes at startup, and it smokes ALOT if the car has been sitting for a couple of days. It's definatly un-burnt fuel, it has that nasty odor and stings your sinuses when you breathe it in. My compression tests great, and I'm not loosing coolant or excessive amounts of oil. I'm figuring I have a stuck injector or two, which I'm hoping that I can un-gum it. The car also idles a little rough and sometimes surges very slightly during acceleration. I've cleaned out the fuel pump sock, regrounded everything, and my TPS is at factory spec. You can watch the engine torque in the bay and feel it on the shifter when it's having a bad day. I'll have to take a video later so you can see it. It's not like it's jumping out to kill you, but it's noticable and irritating.
Power and pickup seems to be pretty good though, I can pound it and she'll take off at a good pace.

For me, 1 new injector would be about $300... if that puts it in any perspective. Whereas a junkyard -> cleaned injector will cost you, $30?

The biggest problem with trying to clean injectors in the car is that the secondaries don't come on until 4000 RPM or so - so most of the time, they're not running, and therefore not getting cleaned.
Also, 15+ year old injectors can be helped by fuel injector cleaner, but the full reverse flow ultrasonic cleaning (as reported by many members on the forum) often ends up with the car behaving like a totally new vehicle, better power, fuel economy, idle, etc.

Removing the injectors is the only way to properly clean them. Most diesel shops will do this for you, sometimes in the same day. Price is generally reasonable at around $25 per injector. Night and day difference.
In tank cleaners only contain chemicals that are already in gasoline. It's like pissing into the ocean. Pure snake oil.
