Cleaning engine bay

So as some of you saw from a thread I posted a few days ago my engine bay is pretty damn dirty. Putting money into appearance isn't really high up on the list of stuff that needs to be done right now, but I have degreaser and stuff I might be able to use.

Can I use Armor-All wipes on the rubber and plastic, or will the chemicals ignite and swallow me up in a glorious fireball at 120+kph? What is the best way to make the engine shine without, again, having it ignite or smoke badly when it heats up? Give me some tips on how you guys make your car's naughty bits look nice.

clean it just like you clean anything else.

use common sense and dont pour water on electrical stuff.

i degreased, power washed, then used adhesive remover to clean my engine bay, then i waxed the paint, and used armor all wipees on all the rubber and plastic.
