Cleanest way to eliminate ACV but keep airpump and 6PI/VDI?
Does anyone know of any parts out there that can be used to make a really clean setup to convert to airpump 6PI/VDI (meaning with the ACV removed and blocked off, with air routed straight to the actuators)?
Ideally, it would be something that blocks off the ACV but also bolts to the same place, and has a nipple for the split air hose (for emissions, maybe even a place for the solenoid as well), and nipples for the actuators, but elminates the anti-afterburn valve (which can go bad and cause bad idle) and air relief hose (which is freakishly loud on mine).
Since that would require a lot of machining, I'd just like ideas of how to make something usable, out of easy-to-find parts.
IIRC you need to have ball valves on the ports to get the right opening/closing speed...

Eliminating a bad idle due to a leaking anti afterburn valve is childs play. Remove the ACV and plug the two holes to the anti afterburn valve and then reinstall the ACV. Let the RTV set up for maybe an hour or two and your done.
FYI....The Split Air pipe plays a SMALL part in the emissions. The ACV is the one that SHOULD be sending air to the EXAUST PORTS (you know, those two large holes the exaust manifold mate with). The fresh air from the ACV mixes with the exaust air/fumes PRIOR to the catalytic converter which in turn makes that mixture closer to 14.7 afr than it would be if the ACV did not send air to the exaust ports.
The catalyst in the catalytic conveter does its job better with a mixture closer to 14.7 than, what? a mixuture of about 13.1 without the fresh air being mixed with the exaust fumes/air.
If you have a fully functional car, and have a narrow or wideband gauge, you can see the effect of a working ACV by looking at the afr proir to pulling the BLUE plug off the Relief solenoid and then after pulling the BLUE colored plug off the relief solenoid.
See no diff when doing the above??? Then the ACV is kaput or the vacuum/air signals going to it are not working right. done

I already tried that for the anti-AB valve. For whatever reason it didn't work.
It did go away when I hooked up a vacuum line to bypass the blue solenoid though.
The big reason I want to block it off is because of the noise it's causing.
