Cleaned Aux. Ports, Car won't Start ?

Cleaned aux. ports, replaced primary injectors with rebuilt ones by Python. Fuel is getting to injectors, plugs are firing, fuses are good. Car acts like it is going to start, but smoke comes out exhaust that smells like oil. I have had it apart twice trying to figure out the problem with no luck. This is 89 GTU with no mods. Tried the "flooding start" method with oil in plug holes etc. still wouldn't start Have not tried ATF method. Car was running fine before, but aux. ports were not working. One thing I did when I pulled the car in the garage was to pull the EGI fuse to let the car run out of gas to take presure off the fuel system. I tried to restart the car again with the fuse in prior to starting on the project and it wouldn't start. I 'm not positive, but I think I had the hose from the air box to TB off at this point.

Just make sure that ever thing is plugged up and that the primary injectors are connected. And also make sure that the AFM is plugged up. I have left that unplugged before, and it puzzled me for a while on why the car wouldn't start.
