it's something i plan on working on over the winter
If i do the red I wont be able to do the engine bay, this is my daily driver as of now so pulling the engine is not an option now. Also I have the blue interior so red out side blue inside = yuck. I want to gut and put a nice cage inside so i may spray it all black inside and just source a dash and door pannels. and seats, lol...
we shall see. thanks for the colors tho, i really appreciate it

My brother does paint and stuff so he would be the one to do it. But I was also looking at that cobalt blue since my car is blue now anyways would look better without having to do the engine bay and such. But I really like that diablo red.

Your brother must be really awesome if he's going to do all the work for you and I'm not being sarcastic. It's a lot of boring, repetitive work. You should ask him what you can do to help.
The color coat is one of the last things you have to worry about. I'd start sanding the car panel by panel, filling the dents, spraying high build primer, then sealer. I estimate 75% of the work that goes into a good paint job is in the steps prior to spraying the color and clear. Once the whole car is straight and finished with sealer you can spray the base and clear coats on a Friday and let the paint cure over the weekend before you reassemble everything.
If you want to read up about prep techniques:

I learned about thinning body filler with fiberglass resin from the first article.
