rear counter weight

rear counter weight

it wont come off like the front one did. is there a special way to do it or is this just stuck.its on a auto car.

take a thin piece of metal plate ( i use the clutch inspection clover off top of motor )
and wedge it behind the counterweight ,, this is to protect the rear seal
wind in a couple of bolts that suit the threads in the weight so that they bite onto the tin plate and strain on the weight

tap the weight edge with soft blow hammer and it should jump off
PS
as a good work practice it is advisable you leave the nut on by a few threads to catch the weight ( or more importantly a flywheel ) so that it doesnt jump right off onto floor or toes and fingers

The flywheel on a manual is removed by:
Installing the nut a few turns and smacking the outer edge - NOT the friction surface NOR the ring gear - one of the flat spots that the pressure plate bolts to, with a hammer,alternating sides, until it's loose.
