chop out exhaust diffuser

I was trying to swap the exhaust sleeve on a na housing to use it on my TII but I broke a tap off inside the roll pin.

So, can I just chop the diffuser out of the NA housing and use it like that?

You can just grind it out. Use a stone, not a carbide bit.

OK, great, thanks. But,why do you suggest using a stone instead of a carbide bit?

Because a carbide bit won't work very well.

Weld a small bead on the roll pin and pull it out with vice grips.
