With an NA, there's not much to optomize other than the fuel curve and timing. I don't think the benefits on an NA would be worth the time and effort. Hell, you might have better luck with an S-AFC, and at least you can adjust that if you add on exhaust or something.

Nothing but fuel curve and ignition advance.... lol What more do you need??

The S-afc is a nice tool for tweaking but does run into drivability problems around the secondary turn on point, and cold engine parameters.

I am looking for a chip myself as it will allow me to raise or eliminate my rev limit and hopefully provide a better initial tune for my mods. The s-afc will stay to compensate for the bigger injectors, but that is yet to be determined as a stand alone for $650 would be the real answer and chips from CorkSport are currently running $270.

Anyone know of a company selling just a chip that the home tweak can replace in the ECU themselves? I've been slinging solder for the larger part of my life and don't need to pay someone else 50/hr to mod my board for me.

TII owners can rest easy knowing that some company on ebay is selling their chips for $20. They have no idea when an N/A chip will become availible.

So.. You buy a chip that's for your initial setup, what happens if you change something? That's why I said an S-AFC would be a little better route, as you could readjust it later, if you ever did change it. And a preprogrammed chip can only do so much without actually tuning it specific to the car...

actually the ebay one I have seen is for both the 88 N327 and the N333 ECUs, so it would run a NA just fine.
