Checking engine codes on JDM S5 TII

Hey,

i have a 1989 RX7 that i have imported from japan and was wondering, how do you check for engine codes when you dont have a check engine light?, i have a "heat" light for my cat but that's about it, i think there's been a failure somewhere within' my car considering the light is illuminated currently....

either way, i cant remember how, but the heat light should blink the same while using a specific sequence....

idea's?...

As far as I know there is no check engine light. You have to check it like the s4. If you search the forum you will find how to check codes on a S4.
Thanks Robert
