You took a perfectly good 7...and ruined it. Get rid of the spoiler, so you can sell it to someone with more sense, and then go buy a civic.

first off: This post is really funny. y'all rippin up on the dudes riced rx7. Just think how funny it is when this guy spends god knows how much on that wing to make his car "look rice" when he could've spent it on something useful, like oh I dunno... gas.

reamia: your cars look sweet as hell.

What a good impression he has made. His first post in this forum supporting rice against an anti-rice community.

Smart thinking

Old Guys Rock

I was reading this thread and enjoying it's content when I read all you guys must be "old" ****. That just pissed me off.

I am 44 years of age and have a 87 base with RB Holley setup, Holley blue fuel pump and fuel pressure regualtor, RB header, RB Pre-silencer, RB catback, Intrax lowering springs, KYB Adustables front and rear, TII Hood, Mariah headlight cover, Corksport Type II Front bumper, SS brake lines, SS cluth line, Cross drilled rotors, Bomex rear bumper, Mazdatrix short shifter, KN FIPK Filter, 17" Enkeis with 4 Yohohama 215/45 EVS 100s, custom dark blue metal flake paint, and a Wings West super spoiler with LED brake lights.

I have a lot of stuff on my car some people consider "rice". I don't think so. To each his own. But, I don't like being stereotyped beacuse I have more life experience (older) than someone else.

The wing looks like **** and has no function. It does not flow with the lines of the car. The car needs to be lowered to hide the gap in the fender wells. If you like it fine!! But don't ask our opinions and expect everyone to agree with you. If I saw you on the road, I would just pull up beside you, glance over, down shift, and go bye-bye.

PS I have the original 86-88 tail lights, and will remain so.

OK now i'm just going out on a limb here but my guess is your the owner of the stock looking Grey RX with miss-mached rims infront of that poor RX with steamed rice on the back.. if true, which i hope not.. then your "friend" is calling you car ****... ????(i'm confused)

Another thing. Before you start working on your car. Please (no really!!!) PLEASE!! take and english course of some sort for you shall need it to properly comprehend the instructions in the Haynes manual (if you were smart enough to get one (no offence to any knoledgable RX-7 owners). Or understand how to install any aftermarket parts wether tastfull or otherwise "NOT" (my guess it would be the latter)

*EDIT*(sorry just noticed this one!)

Y thank you.. i'm going to take that as a compliment since in math a double negative would be a positive and yes i have complimented many ppl on their cars

BTW love the look reamia!! just hope that there's some power behind all those astetics

Frank

is the wing truly functional? most people put them on to help plant the rearend at high rates of speed. if it works, then to each there own, if it doesn't then you ay want to consider a different wing. most "ricers" don't need that style of wing because it adds drag, not reduce. the car looks nice from the outside but what about the motor and interior??? before you spend a great deal of $$$ on a "cool" looking car, you may want to do the motor and interior. paint should be the last item on having a project car, i feel. if it is all show and no go, then where are the bragging rights??? the rims are cool, but i do think the car looks like a wanna be honda with the wing. i would be interested in a close up of the paint.

As for the car whatever gets him off isnt any of my business. But after saying stock RX7s look ugly he can take that wing and stick it so far up his *** it gets stuck. Then he can jump off a cliff. If the wing actually works hell be able to glide down and save his pathetic exsistance. Then he might have something to talk about.

i think people also play the "well he/she likes it so its okay, whatever makes em happy" card too much. sorry, but i dont think following trends should count as making people happy. i get in the same arguements about music, too. its difficult because you cant just prove that someone only listens to some music because they're basically conditioned to. same situation here. its like the drifting fad. sure, its fun and all, its just the way people hop on bandwagons. and its funniest (or most pathetic) when people think they're part of a minority and take pride in something when they're really just another tool. i saw a magazine covering drifting which included a picture of a late 80s body-style firebird drifting. haha, its not really anything new. its just evolving and becoming "big," even though its still, in a sense, an underground sport.
now insert a smilie face with a machine gun shooting at *this thread.*

The best looking RX-7 in the world is a stock RX-7. Why do people feel the need to change the looks? They are beautiful. If the RX-7 needed a rear spoilier that looks like a rain gutter, they would have put one on it in the first place.
