Check Engine Light Stays on
I have an 89 Turbo II, the car ran fine then I ordered a Rtek chip, 720CC injectors, new injector clips, and ever since then I have had nothing but trouble. When checking trouble codes on the ECU it is hit or miss whether or not it will report a problem. I have had the chip tested and its good, the injectors flow tested good, and I have been through the wiring harness a few times, it has an irratic idle, runs hella rich and the check engine light stays on, when I check the codes the check engine light just stays on.
In a way it acts like it is in limp mode, the bac is non responsive when unplugged, but it tested good.
The o2 sensor does nothing when un plugged
the afm does nothing when unplugged
My omp was bad, and I have changed it out with another when that tests good, then I opened up my ecu to double check and make sure something didnt get fried, but everything looks good.
I guess I am wondering if anyone has ran into this problem? or any suggestions? I am about ready to install a stick of dynamite under the hood and call it good.
