Check Engine Light...........help

I have an 89 T2 and i was traveling about 40 in 3rd gear and when I tried to accelerate i had nothing and my check engine light came on!!!

I stoped on the side of the road and opened the hood, I saw nothing to the unusal! No leaks, all my hoses connected!

So I jumped back in a drove home(appx 3 miles) everything was fine no light.... nothing!

I figured well I'll do some light driving around town and see how it goes! while traveling I was in 3rd at about 35 when I gave it gas and again the same thing! Check engine light comes on!

So pull off the road check everything and sure enough everything appears to be ok! start the car again, and no light!!!

So I turned around and headed back home. I was monitoring my boost gauge and everything seemed ok there.

On the way home it ran fine. Good boost the little I got it into. I have no idea what is going on.

What sucks is I spent all day under the hood cleaning it up. I didnt use any water I only used some cleaning agents and a rag. I sprayed everything on the rag before it hit the car, because I didnt want anything bad to happen and now I have this small dilemia.

I have alot of different wires under the hood for my boost controler and my afc. I am thinking that it just might be a bad connection on one of the many aftermarket wires that are under my hood!

Please help!!!!
Thanks,
Josh
