Could the check and cut valve cause VAPOR LOCK if it fails?

Well....maybe it's not called the check and cut valve....I'm referring to the one back above the rear axle and has three rubber hoses coming to it....one goes to the gas tank...one to the filler neck and the other to the charcoal cannister....maybe its called the "three way"....as no one has any response I figure I used the wrong name

Take it off and see if the ball inside still rattles. Also blow through it in the same direction as the fuel flow.

I've never heard of one causing vapor lock. And I won't go into a long explanation as to why it can't. Vapor lock occurs in the pump and since the pump is internal, it just won't happen at the cut and check valve.

If you are not getting fuel flow, the cause is probably somewhere else.
