Your best bet is to get it and rebuild it

Just curious as to why you said that but what would stop them if they didnt offer a warranty?

since you are in washington, there is an engine importer called japanese engines inc. on Hwy 99 a few miles south of the seatac airport... i you go down there they usually give pretty good deals.
http://www.japaneseenginesinc.com/
their website isn't much help, but they do have a number you can call them at.

Well.... I've never heard of them... I doubt they pay much for advertising... I'm sure they want to stay in business...

Word of mouth is the best advertising there is, if enough people got crap engines from them, they wouldn't be in business. That is what there is to stop them.

Shipping people paperweights that need to be rebuilt isn't a good business practace. And business with bad practaces don't stay in business long... even though demonspeed.com seems to still be up and running...
