Cheap suspension options
Hey guys, I haven't been on here in a while so I hope everyone's still getting along well.
Here's my problem: I have a 88 GXL and my suspension is dead, no shock there. I don't have much money to put into the car right now and I'm saving for rent after I get married (Aug. 13) so I need a quality but low cost suspension setup.
GIVE ME SOME ADVICE!!!
And no one tell me those "You get what you pay for buy something expensive" lines. I need cheap that will live up to some, not a great deal, of spirited driving.
Any help here would be great. I'll be doing all the work myself so I can afford a bit more than if I weren't.
Thanks guys.

don't know what is in your budget but they have kyb gr2 all day long on ebay for something like 220. and then they have a pair of adjustable agx's right now going for 299. Is that cheap enough for you? If you want cheaper then go online to anyone of these carparts.com sites and see what they have, or just go to your local parts store. Of course anything you go with will probably need to be ordered.

If you are keeping stock springs I say KYB GR2s will be fine. Any higher rate springs and I'd step up to KYB AGXs, but just about anything new will be much better than blown out stockers. I bought a little POS for commuting not too long ago and it had Monroe Sensa-Trac dampers and they did quite well. I gave that car a pretty good beating too.
