Cheap Suspension mod!!!!!! anyone done it yet?
Ok well i ordered a set of lowering springs and was thinking of a way to make the car more aggressive while autocrossing, taking the pig out of it as i call it... And then it hit me...I drive an SE but there is a perfectly good Adjustable suspension sitting on my parts car gxl..so i took off the adjustable struts (GXL) model.... and am going to put the adjustables on the SE.. The gxl suspension is adjustable from sport to normal, i figured this is a shock absorbtion level adjuster so i am going to use one of the "motors" that adjust the shock on the gxl to make a key like on the koni adjustables with a handle to manually adjust the tower tops....does this make sense....hopefully it'll be like a cheap koni setup untill i can afford the real deal...what do you think?

I'm not saying yours specifically, I mean most AAS struts in general. It's not likely that anyone has tried it because most of them out there are to old to bother with.
I consider rippping off the motor and installing a **** to be modifying, FWIW.

I'm interested in seeing where this goes, if this will work as you think, would it be possible to stiffen the shocks more than they are now? (Example if you turned the **** and stiffend it to the point where it would normally be sport, could you then place the motor back on and have sport as your normal mode and sport be even stiffer than that?)

IT WORKS! and how, it feels like a new car, I can actually go faster than 20 kmh around a corner!
I've only done the front so far but the results are amazing, I just removed the motors and used a flat screwdriver to adjust it, I turned it counter clockwise while I bounced the car untill I was satisfied with the stiffness and replaced the motors. Doin' the back tomorrow!

It was set to sport.
It's always on sport normal sucks ***!
I suppose if you really want to be lazy you could set it to sport and take the motors off and switch it to normal before repalcing them, but I'm not sure that will be stiff enough, all depends on what you want
