Cheap coilovers/ Suspension clearance /Vert stuff

I'm needing clearance for more tire/wheel in the front of my TII. Is there any way cost effectively to do that besides ground control coilovers up front? I'm thinking anything that permits the use of a smaller D spring up front and new smaller perches.

This specific project is cheap, but will do Ground Control or other????(ideas?) cost effective coilovers if I can't find a "band-aid"

Anyone have used coilovers, maybe loaded with a nice fresh insert?

Anyone with a Vert and coilovers, what front spring rates have you found to be a good compromise on the street?

Thanks!

Hey Russ, coil-overs give you a couple mm's at most of extra clearance. It's just a myth that you can fit wider tires with coil-overs. Do like I did and buy the Mariah Mode 5 front fenders ... then you can fit 255's in there.

Give me half an inch..........

The wheels I'll be running didn't fit on the car they're on now with stock stuff up front, but do with coilovers. It's only a matter or 10-11mm I need up there, and I know the spring perch and big part of the spring sticks out that much further than a coilover!

I'm not needing humungo tires, just the ability to run this set of wheels that are priced VERY right......

Arospeed's adjustable springs would be like $200 all the way around and I'm not liking them from a customer service standpoint from how they've been with me on the phone the last 5 minutes. I'll just get ground control FULL coilovers if I have to spend anything over $125 total!

Ryan, Your fenders DO look sweet! If someone ends up making some that are nearly the same quality for less $ (not holding my breath!) I might do that. Otherwise, fresh nice paint on those on my car would look like ****. Well, they'd look nice, but the rest of my car sucks! Have you snapped any pics with new wheels trial fitted?

Well if you do get the coil overs, you'll probably want to grind a bit off the spring perch. That's really the only way to get more clearance. And order them from Rishie (ARD T2) if you get them. But honestly, I'd be surprised if you get 10 mm of extra clearance from them.

I haven't got the wheels yet, ordered them though and might have them late next week. Also have the Hoosier road race slicks on the way too... install my camber plates, sway bars, and front end bushings this weekend. Everything else is already on!

ive got a set of GC coil overs for sale. 7" 300lb fronts & 8" or 10" 225 rears(i have 2 sets of springs) on tokico shocks/struts. they have about 10k on them. the rears(springs) have rubbed the top of the perches a little, when the springs got in a bind(from being set down with a floor jack to fast) it doesnt affect the performance .
ill take 700$ for the set shipped.(1k new)
