Yeah, or the canadian police will come arrest you, or something. Some people think its a good idea to leave it, others remove it the second they see it (like me). I guess if I blow up, I'll learn my lesson real quick!

No you'll learn your lesson when every person that stands near your car asks if you have a fuel leak....

I happen to like the fragrance of gasoline! It reminds me of my truck with it's bad rings, timing gone to hell, and carb leak

Mine has been off for 1.5 years. The only time I smelled gas was when my gas cap went bad, the tank pressurized and the fumes came out of one of the open hard lines.

Did you cap off the hard line from the gas tank, or did you leave it open to the air? Mines currently sitting open and im not sure if i should cap it or not.

U should let it ventalate so it relieves pressure. Im guessing...Anyways if anywone ever pulls u over make sure to reconect the charcoal canister or make a fake imposter canister to trick them... Also put a no smoking sing by the right fender but this might give it all away to the canadians. So wactch your back and trust nowone.

Mine's never been capped.

I smelled the gas that once and I was about to pull the upper intake off. I leaned over the fender to start and I heard the noise from the line. Somehow I figured the gas cap might be bad. I opened the cap and pressure was released. A new cap fixed everything.

Ok, thanks for the info! I'll leave it open and put the no smoking sign next to it, I might bend it so it faces the opposite direction as my engine.
