someone PM me and said that i should change my avtar because the car in the pic belonged to his friend. I think it a sign that i like the way the car look and shows respect to whos car it is. If i am wrong i will change it, but i wuold like to know what others think. please let me know. I will change it if enough people think i am wrong

I personally think that your av should either be your own car or related to your nick but not everyone thinks that way so I don't see a problem with it as long as you don't go around saying its your car.
Of course if the owner PMs you asking you to remove it I think you should.

Isn't that one of the "custom" avatars that the forum has for everyone to choose? If that's the case, and I think it is, more than just 1 person is using it. The owner of the car ( if he has a problem ) you e-mail the admin, and get him to take it off the list, rather than single out 1 of the 50 with that avatar.

I say keep it, until everyone else takes it off. No need for that guy's friend to single you out.

Thanks, it is somewhat what i would like mine to look like when i am done. I guy that is said to own that car is in Japan right now, but i know he can use the internet from there. and you are right if he has a problem with me useing it then I will change it but i would lke to hear from him first.

 

Yes that is correct, the guy should contact the webmaster if he as a problem with 1,000 other people using his car in their avatar.

You have to have the avatar on the internet. After that, you post the URL to it in the "custom avatar" slot under User Control Panel
