Changed my exhaust from behind the cat today...
...and now my computer is beeping at me.
It's just 5 beeps, pause. 5 beeps, pause. 5 beeps, pause. 5 beeps, pause.
What's the issue?

look in the second gen faq...
not much else that beeps in the car... so there you go
5-beeps, pause, repeat - in case abnormality of steering sensor signal: Steering sensor is mis-aligned or failed or steering wheel has been improperly installed.
I don't see how this has anything to do with it, BUT there is a ground strap that was attached to the stock drivers side muffler. My car did weird stuttering things because I didn't replace it. I added a ground strap at the cat, and it all went away.

It's nothing to do with the exhaust, it's the steering sensor. Just happened to come on at the same time.
How do I fix the sensor?
How do I fix the sensor?
if theres no obiously wires broken or something u might just have to try one out of another car ( make sure u get steering sensor out of another one with power steering!,cause there are less wires on the non)
A while back I got a steering wheel adapter as a gift, and well it was an cheap ebay piece. To make a longer story short, I crushed the steering sensor because it wasn't the correct adapter and I got the 5 beeps. So either a wire is not connected or your steering sensor is toast. I fixed mine by replacing the sensor unit.
Good luck.
Good luck.
