changed fuel pump back, car still running rich...?

I put my stock T2 fuel pump back in the car and the car is still running richer than bill gates. we roll deep, beoootch. so what gives? my trailing spark plugs (i bought the hotter plugs for all four this time) and they are already giving out. what the **** could be making my car run so rich? i cant keep buying spark plugs like this, its cost me like 20 bucks for every set and i've bought 12 spark plugs in the last 2 weeks.

By the boost sensor, there is that little fuel richness screw. Have you tried leaning it out a tad bit?

That screw is for idle only. A bad sensor can be causing the car to run rich. Have you checked for error codes?

You need to test your water temp sensors and switch, oil temp sensor, and FPR.

stupid question..but is it safer to run rich or lean although running either is probably not a good thing, what would be the lesser of two evils so to speak??

You also mentioned you rewired your fuel pump? Did you wire it where the pump was getting 14v ALL the time or is it still swappnig 9v off boost and 14v on boost like the stock config? Also make sure the vacuum line is on your fuel pressure regulator so it is seeing vacuum. Just some things to check.

Then it's definitly going to run rich. You could use an S-AFC to tune down the injectors at idle.

the only reason i wired it like that is because i turned my car off one day, and my fuel pump was not pumping any gas, at all. something happened to the power wire somewhere between the fuel pump and the harness that goes back to the engine bay.
