chances of a motor needing housing/rotor/irons

I am interested in buying this motor from a member on this board. The motor is from a '87 TII and has 104k miles. I plan on rebuilding it. I was wondering if the motor is not blown, what are the chances of it needing housings, rotors, and irons. I mean, if it needs any of those, I would rather just rebuild the one I have currently. Anyways, any input will be appreciated. thanks.

If the engine is functioning fine and has decent compression you should be able to re-use the housings, rotors, end plates, etc.

Just replace the seals.

However as a disclaimer, you will never know for sure until you open it up.
