totallimmortal can you please help me with a question. i know its not related to the topic, but i couldnt e-mail you directly so i figured i could ask you here.
i read in another thread that you had 18x7.5 rims on 225/40/18 tires on your fc.
i want to know what the offset is? im asking because i recently purchased a set of rims and tires exactly like yours, 18x7.5 225/40/18.
the problem is that the rims are a +45 offset. so im having major rubbing issues, not to mention that the spring comes down on the tire. the spring actually sits on the top the tire, about an inch inside the tire.
i dont know if the fact that i lowered the car 1.50 inches has anything to do with that.
i bought the rims on ebay(big mistake) and the guy assured me that they would fit my car. now im having a hard time exchanging them or getting any kind of refund. hes still insisting that they fit.
you said that you put them on the rx7 and had no problems, can you please tell me what the offset is. it would be greatly appreciated.

yeah guys i am in morocco visiting my wife and whatnot and will be back stateside here in a few weeks --- anyhow i would have had more of these done before i left but i had the ticket booked and whatnot way in advance and made a few of them and ended up wasting a bunch of carbon fiber trying to figure the best way to lay it up without a bubble and seaming it right, pretty much a no brainer when i look back at it and look to have them made when i get back and situated, and also just for those that want to lay up some cf in a somewhat tricky mold--- try first laying it with fiberglass cloth a few times to get it right and then once you have it figured out then play with the carbon fiber---it will save you a few hundred dollars

I went to Morocco to visit my wife and when I left I had my tools and my molds all neatly sey aside in one corner of the shed that I had been working in. My old man told me that during the time I was gone since I had plans to move to NC he was going to tear down the shed and do something else with the yard. I told him i was going to leave my stuff in the shed for now as to not clutter the garage until he decided to get rid of the shed ten he needed to move it. Parents being old and sometimes forgetful threw everything away I had. This included hundreds of dollars of tools, resins and whatever mold I had. Thankfully I had a fiberglass one left sitting in the attic to make a copy from. I still have it along with a few people that have paid for it but since I have been back to the states and to NC I have been either too broke to be able to afford investing three or four hundred dollars or what money I do have now I really need because the wife will be here shorly and I have to get an apartment and furniture and what not. I have a few other products that might make me some money here in the short term that i might beaable to use to invest in it again so it wont be such a pain to make, more like an afterthought as long as the tools and the resins are already readily available. I hope this answers your question.
