Cerberus Project: Restoration and Upgrade
Amazing job man. It looks really good and it seems like you're doing everything right.
You must have a great piece of mind with that car.
Its probably going to be a blast to drive too, get some nice tires next so you experience the whole car as a package.
Good luck.
Oh and where did you wreck the old one at, it looks alot like a road in Radford by the river I've driven down a few times.

New River Road
Right in radford, right next to the New River. About 1 mile or so from the apartments there. I think it's the same road that you're thinking of.As for tires I have come AST's (I can't quite remember) wrapping some 17x8's. I had to remove the front ones because the worn out suspension was starting to eat out the inner sidewall. I don't think the people who put on the tires balanced them correctly so when I go to get new tires put on I'll have them really double check the balance. So right now I have the stock all terrain tires on the front (which isn't a bad thing with the weather we just got over).
As for the pictures, I'll try to snap a few tomorrow when I get out of work. I always seem to lose daylight too quickly.
Wow, haven't updated this in awhile. Think it's about time.
I've still working on the suspension. I set up another appointment to have my bushings and other suspension components installed next week, but I still have to call and confirm that tomorrow sometime.
In the meantime I happend to pick up a new turbo and some other goodies (not pictured). I'm not sure how well this is going to work because the forum is running awfully craptastic right now. But oh well:

I went with the new turbo because of what I found on the old turbine housing:

As you can see there's alot of stress fractures in it, and coupled with the super tiny internal wastegate I decided it's in my best interest to either buy some replacement parts or a brand new turbo. I came across this one and it was a hell of a deal for brand new.
I'm still trying to dial in the suspension and I don't have access to scales so it may be a long time before it's setup specifically the way I'd want, but I do have my Racing Beat Sway bars in, solid endlinks in the front, poly bushing end links in the back.
I still have the front control arm bushings to install as well as the rear, not to mention the DTSS eliminators. I also have some delrin subframe bushings to install. Main, i'm such a slacker.
I'm planning on purchasing some new aluminum lines and fittings, not to mention som rubber lines to perform a tube/wire tuck on the HVAC system. This should prove interesting.

I also did a battery relocation recently:

This is more so I can fit in a bigger/better radiator, and provides me with enough room to start thinking about how I want to run the wires and hoses.

it's a ceramic ball bearing 60-1 F1-62 .77AR. It's on the small side of the bigger turbos but i still think it will out flow my afm with ease.
The circuit breaker is only rated to 100 amp (biggest I could find it anywhere local), but I got it from Advanced for about 26-30 bucks. Other places usually stock them like marine stores.
You can even order them online for about the same price plus shipping (You can even get the recommended 150amp ones online too).

Yes. The recommended is 2x150amp and 0 or 2 awg. I'm getting away with 4 awg, but if I add anything to the electrical system or load I'll need to upgrade all the wires and breakers. Which probably won't happen until I'm ready to do the interrior (about 2 years or more down the road).
DAAAAAMN, Thrall! That's coming a long way real fast! I knew you had a project, but I had no idea it was anywhere near this impressive! every picture is like a little bit of magic... and it's nice to see someone else saving an FC

As for the project, it's stalled as funds and other things have gotten in the way. Will probably pick it back up come feb or so.
Well, I figure I should post a little update. I have a T60-1 turbo installed on the car. Now I just need something a little better to control the engine besides the RTek2.1
