centerforce clutch was a nice clutch when it worked. I had the dual friction on my car, i could chirp 2nd and 3rd up until the day it started to slip at high rpm, high boost in 3rd or higher gear.

Pedal pressure was slightly stiffer then stock. It felt good. THe clutch worked great until it started to slip.

I think the problem with the clutch is the small friction area on the clutch disc, and the fact the material doesn't last very long. With rx7s, you have to slip the clutch just a tad off the stop signs compared to say a mustang. I find it easier to drive mustangs then to drive rx7s since you have more torque to get you going.

ACT, mazda, exedy, they are all the same if you are looking for stock replacement with close to stock power. I used capclutch.com they are rebuilt exedy/daiken pressure plates, cost me 175 USD, has worked fine, get good feel, i can't complain.

I have'nt got to run a 1/4 mile with it ( we have 2 1/8 mile tracks here in san diego) It has ran a best of 9.8 @75mph in the 1/8. I would say a high 14 in the 1/4.

NA guys keep complaining they can't get better than a 2.5 60', but your posts blows that away.
What's the 1/4-mile time and trap speed on your beast?

Well, I am putting 250 hp to the ground and no I don't expect the clutch to slip. The clutch diameter is only 1 inch smaller than the turbo clutch and a so-called high performance clutch with 90% more clamping power should handle 233 ft-lb of torque. I know guys with higher HP using same diameter clutches with no problems.
