Center Console Wiring
Center Console Wiring
Okay guys need help with this. I am replacing my rear calipers and rotor/pads all the way around. While waiting for calipers to be delievered I had this feedback going through the speakers, mind you there radio was removed before I got the car from the previous owner and there was a wonder hack job on the wirings behind in the radio console area. I touched a couple taped up areas and the speakers stopped the sound so I took the tape off and well in short I took off a couple places.
There are two main wire harness lines coming out both are hacked. My problem is it has knocked all the power out to the rest of the car that includes not starting, no turn signals no headlights no instrument cluster no logicon now power windows.
I have a 1988 Rx7 T2 that just got back from Banzai Racing. It all worked a week ago. Any suggestions, where to take it to get it fix(Mazda wants lots of money and AutoLab near me is $80/hr), can I fix it since I really think its just the wires up front(all fuses are good still)?
Pretty mad at the moment since I cant even get her back on the road with that nice rebuilt motor so any suggestion would be great help

You need to check the fuses in the engine bay and recheck the ones under the dash. There is definately a fuse cooked somewhere, for nothing to work. I replaced a bunch when the car was down here. You also need to make sure that the wires a taped up.

Ha thanks Chris, I didnt want to bother you with the wiring mess I get to deal with now. Just today I found a good customer at work today that is the owners son of Ed Schimdt Ford on Woodward that is the wiring master over there he said he'd come by and take a look at it if I still have problems...back to the calipers just got them in today
