how does one visually know if a car came with the CD player originally or not?

1FastT2's guage panel doesn't fit if the compartment had the CD player.

I'm looking at a japan imported GTR right now with no radio and I want to get one of his panels. I want to make sure it'll fit.

I'd rather do the original Pioneer CD/Tape radio, but it costs $6000 CDN - if they even make it still.

All the stock radio units were the same size. So, it really doesn't matter.
