Catalytic Convertor??

So im getting ready to buy a cat, my question is on rx7.com Rotary Performance | FC Exhaust i can get the 'blank' cat for $175. It says it designed for the rotary. Or would I be fine with getting a cat from autozone or something along those lines?

Also I am still in need of an s5 air control valve. If anyone has this please pm me I am looking for the valve as well as all the lines that connect to it.

I am pretty sure I bought my cat from autozone. I can't remember exactly. It was a direct fit bolt up and I have had it for about 5 years. Passes emissions every year.

I have been under the impression for years that a cheap aftermarket cat would melt pretty quick. Bonez I believe makes one for the rotary. Racing beat pre silencer on my car. Do you need inspection?

The Bonez special Rotary cat lasted about 18 months for me.

The generic cat about 6 months.

That will obviously vary depending on state of tune, whether you still have or add pre-cats, etc.

The cars aren't cheap, just the drivers.
