CAS & Timing
New rebuild going on here with a 90 NA. Looking in the FSM it says to align the pulley yellow timing mark with the front cover indicator pin, and align the CAS dot and mark, then install. My question is after my rebuild the front rotor tip is at 12 o'clock right now and rear at 6 o'clock (by looking in exhaust ports--I haven't turned anything yet). But my pulley yellow mark is about 9 o'clock. If I rotate the pulley to match the front cover indicator pin, it will move the front rotor tip to about 3 o'clock position. Does this sound right???? I was thinking the rotor should be at 12 o'clock with the indicator pin aligned w/pulley mark.

Follow the procedures in the FSM. Rotate until the yellow dot lines up with the pointer, line the CAS up by putting the divet on the gear at the pointer, and stab it while holding the CAS rotor from moving with you thumbs.
You have not turned the engine yet?! How did you set the front eccentric clearance without turning the engine?!
Remember the eccentric spins 3:1 as compared to the rotors.

I did turn it for the the e-shaft clearance per your video. I had marked the hub bolt and rotated three times to end up with rotor at 12 o;clock. I just haven't turned it since I had the front cover on last week. Sorry for the confusion.

24 hour bump.
I did find this searching which looks like I'm in range to at least to start it (when the time comes). My timing gear arrows look close to HAILERS photo.

Those pictures look correct. You may have to wiggle the CAS back and forth a little for the tooth to find it's place. When stabbed correctly, the two tooth wheel of the CAS ends up at about 2 and 8 o'clock, or 3 and 9. Around that area.
