CAS signal used by anything besides ECU?

Im in the process of changing around the wiring harnesses, cleaning stuff up, and preparing to run the car with a megasquirt. Is the crank angle sensor signal used by the tach, or anything else besides the ECU? will I need to route signal somewhere else?

No, the tach signal is taken from the trailing coil pack.

Ok, so cutting the connector plug for the tach off of the drivers side harness wont affect anything else (besides the engine/ecu, where i *think* i know what im doing)

When I do a standalone, I usually add another connector to the body harness in that area to make my connections to the trailing coil. That way you don't cut anything off the body harness or have to rewire the tach, and it keeps the harness in two parts (ie. no solder joints between the body and Megasquirt harness).
