CAS Reset, How To?
Need to reset the Crank Angle Sensor in my 86 GXL. I know theres a line on the crank and the crank pully, but what other procedures are there?
Thanks,
Tim.

pretty simple:
1) rotate the engine so the main pulley's yellow mark lines up with the timing mark
2) Remove CAS, rotate gear on CAS so that the divit on the CAS gear is lined up with the mark on the CAS body.
3) Reinsert, being careful not to accidently rotate the body/gear when engaging the gear, fine tune your timing with a timing light.
4) Tighten CAS
If you're having trouble rotating your engine by hand, youc an remove a spark plug from each rotor, that will make your life a bit easier... Or you could just muscle it out

True, it shouldn't move, but... how many times have we run across cars that had the timing creatively tweaked by an owner at some point in the past?
If you haven't removed it, you should be close enough to set it with a timing light without having to pull it out.
