cars getting hot at idle

will a TII hood cause an N/A car to idle at a higher temp then normal? When i drive it goes back down to 1/4 the way but while im idling sometimes it will go up 1/2 way. This doesnt happen everytime though. What could be the problem?

No... by all means it should make it cooler (or at least increase its cooling efficiency).

I'd say your fan isn't moving enough air.
