Carbon Monoxide!!
Ok now this really tells the story of how bad rx-7 exhaust is.
I got one of those $50 carbon monoxide detectors with the 3 digit parts per million read out on it.
I stuck it under my girlfriend's 4 cyl. tempo exhaust and it read 160 something. Ok, that'll put you in a coma within 2 hours according to the detector's manual.
Put it under my rx7 and it said 688! 688 oh my god you'd be dead in like a matter of minutes! I got a headache down there waiting for the readout.
Now I know the 7 has bad exhaust, but I had no idea. I wonder if the cats are intact on my car... it seems to run very well otherwise, and the exhaust is clear. Anyway, thought that was funny.
