rx7 addict, I get the impression you have seen my car in person. My shop is at 258 central ave in Dover, and I am at the track every wednsday. Please come talk your smack to my face, somehow I bet that wont happen. Every one likes to make a buck, but just so you guys know it akes no longer than making a fiberglass product, and the materials cost about 20$, go to www.uscomposites.com, and do the math. I am not concerned about making $ on these products, so i could care less about keeping the secret. Mine may not be perfect but at least I have the ***** to try. You guys are exactly right my car has some unperfect parts, but atleast I have the ***** to do things myself, instead of waiting hoping for 2 years that finally I will get the part I want.

I dont order my materials from them. I order from an aircraft supply company, so I can be completely sure of the quality. The materials I use are the same as those used to build composite aircraft all over the country, and quality is the utmost concern, as far as avaition goes. And making a product takes a little more than just a few hours. That probably explains the quality of my stuff vs yours. I take the time to make it nearly perfect. If it doesnt look good enough for me to want to put in my car, I either fix it, or trash it, and start again I prefer quality over quantity. And if it takes me longer, so be it.

SilverT2, did you change your forum name? And I do not recall getting an email from you for nearly 2 months about the surround.

RX7 addict, Ill have yours in the mail in a few days. Ive had some unexpected delays, but Im nearly done.

I am a big advocate of DIY-ing! May not be perfect but, how proud can you really be of your car if you arent responsible for the mods, your only responsible for having money to buy them. Know what I mean.

I totally agree with you. Thats how I got started in cf, and so many other things. Cf really isnt that hard, it just takes the knowledge of how to make it turn out right. And a lot of practice.

This Thread is orginally a year old! I read through most of the posts and looks like pics were never posted. Any idea if the CF Surrounds were ever made? I'd like to have an option "when" (it will) mine cracks again.

I'm guessing you get your materials from:
