I'm looking for a carbon fiber hood with the same style as the stock turbo rx7 with the scoop. I have an 1988 non turbo rx7. can anyone help!?

quit being a poser and keep he NA hood......TII hood is for a TII...........TII on NA car = poserriffic yo.

When I was NA I was sporting a TII Hood for sometime before I did a full TII conversion. Come to think of It - It's b'c of the Hood Is why I went TII.

Unless you are absoloutely set on a CF Hood - go with an Aluminum one...much cheaper and readily available.

 

if you can find a vert hood or a turbo2 hood, it'll be 4632746 times cheaper than carbon fiber and only slightly heavier...

 

that import fan hood. does anybody know if it uses the stock hinges or do u have to get hood pins??

oh man... forget that carbon fiber 8-lb bulshit. Just get rid of the hood completely. Yup. That's right. I did that to a stock 88 na and without the hood it ran a 12 and dynoed at 200 MPH (remember that guy?) at the rear wheels.
Oh, and to keep this post from being completely worthless, go with an aluminum hood. You can afford half a Tii swap for the price of a CF hood, and it's only a few (less than 10 if my memory is working) pounds less.

 

i hope that was a joke!! it takes nearly 100 lbs. of dead weight to take a 1/10th of a second off your 1/4 mile time! plus the drag youd get from the hood being off would slow you down even more! and weight has nothing to do with how much power to the wheels your car produces! and how do you get 200 "MPH" to the wheels on a dyno????? thats a new one to me!
