Carbon buildup... how much is too much?

Take a look at my sleeves.. Took them off because one was stucking, and as i suspected, it was caked with carbon. The intake runners are several mm thinner due to buildup. Makes me wonder how bad the inside of the engine is D:

How bad is this? Do you think running seafoam and steam might clean some of it out? Will it mess up my rotors when this gunk gets in there?

Also, is this bad? My shifter recently started making a squishey noise (litterally sounds like goo is leaking) and now I see tranny fluid all over... Yet its coming out up top??

the carbon on the inside isnt the problem its whats on th outside. and to answer your question too much carbon is when they start sticking.
in your second pic its probably from both torn boots and worn shifter bushings. both can be gotten from a dealer or a website like mazdatrix
