carb on 88 se

guys i had a engine fire, now i have no sensors, wiring or ecu i need the car to keep going to work so i decided for the time being i would carb it, borrowed a jaytech intake for a holley carb got it on the car and placed the carb on it now the holley 4 barrel i managed to snag one from a old friend placed it on the intake, now looking at pics on other set ups seems that the throttle linkage is on the firewall side is that how all are mounted or can i put the linkage upfront and the fuel line in the back. my throttle cable does not reach i think i need a 12a cable or make a braket of some sort to extend it. also im running a walhbro 255 with a mallory 4309 regulator, fb dizzy with the 2gcdfis with transistors so im using the coils from the car and have a nice spark. is there any thing im missing.

PS im going back to F.I in the spring im going to take the winter to track down everything i need to go standalone on the t2 keg im building.

Racing Beat sells a bracket which may work, or you can try and make your own.

You will need to replace your Walbro 255 with a low-pressure fuel pump and regulator. I had a Holley Blue fuel pump in my 1Gen, and it seemed to work pretty well, although you may want to check in the 1Gen forum to see if they have better options.
