ah sounds just like mines. only thing I can say for now is
...better learn to use the search button!

but yea your problem sounds pretty close to mines, but mine is a 90 turbo non swap
it idle's high and lack of boost, I'm in the process of replacing all my vac lines and I'm looking for a new tps unit.

might wanna check your tps to see if it's adjusted right and make sure to follow the tps guide to the T or you'll screw up like me haha

https://www.rx7club.com/2nd-generation-specific-1986-1992-17/tps-testing-gone-bad-726992/page2/

look a few posts down. and there is a way to adjust the tps with the engine being cold

I just did what you did also, adjust the tps while the engine was cold and it was never the same again, but today like a few hours ago, I warmed up the car and attempted to adjust the tps again and found out I had a bad tps (well I hope it is)

Did you check your plugs? Check for any loose or accidentally disconnected vacuum lines? Are you sure you got a good seal on your manifold flanges? Were you sure to connect your AFM back? Because that will cause this problem specifically.

Also, make sure the fuel lines are routed properly.

wait, white smoke...can you smell the smoke? it *could* be coolant leaking into the chamber(s), and perhaps that'd keep the car from running unless you kept on the throttle?

where is the afm? is it in the intake box? I'd double check to see if it's hooked up to the box also!

hmmmm i would double check all your vac lines then too, especially the big ones, maybe you missed one. Did you have to remove any intercooler piping to get all those vac lines?

hmmm, well i check and check all of my vac lines a few times but the only thing i took off was the top part of the manifold. and i didnt tighten the pipes coming from the fmic into the throttle body. was that the issue? since the car was running like 2hrs before?

that'd be my bet, you gotta tighten those suckers down or it's just a GIANT vacuum leak
