Question Car won't start, no fuel.

Newby here. I've done a search but I'm using dial up and it's taking forever. Maybe somebody can guide me in a certain direction.

My nephew just bought a 91 RX7 but it wont start. It's been sitting for a while. So far we have changed the fuel pump and it's working. We've got good spark also. We checked the injectors with noid lights and it seems like they are not working. What drives the injectors. Is there a relay or fuse we should look at. We don't have any type of manual yet. My local parts house here in the boonies has ordered one but nothing so far.

Any help will be appreciated.

Louie.

Any ideas? I still don't have a manual on my hands. It seems like it'll be next week. The car will start if we shoot starting fluid into the throttle body so we're sure it's a fuel problem. The injectors we checked are the ones near the top of the right (passenger side). So far we have seen ony these. Are these the primary injectors. If not where are they.

Louie.

Louie, I know with the NA you can pull the 15amp engine fuse to unflood the motor then it normally starts.
1. pull fuse
2. crank car for 15-20 sec while depressing the gas pedal
3. replace fuse back in
4. start car.

Is the EGI fuse the same as "fuel pump fuse"?? cause my fuel pump won't come on at all, even when i jumper the connector in the engine harness... all the fuses i can find are still good and i checked the resistor/relay thingy too.

Louie.

the higher ones are the secondary injectors and don't turn on untill 3800rpm.

the primary ones are closer to the block and are on the shorter fuel rail.

have you checked all your fuses? under hood and inside kick panel.

i don't have any fuses named "fuel pump" anywhere. have i overlooked something? and let me ask again, is the EGI fuse directly related to the fuel pump?
