1. couter mile, eh?
2. you only need one pipe, one muffler
3. take care of it and tune wisely
4. the FD engine isn't 'better' enough to need to drop in; its mounts are completely different; overall a waste of money for most people. 13BTs can handle power. i know of one with over 500 who daily drives (obviously not maxing out the revs everyday).
read the FAQ. its useful. and the search button near the top right for any questions that may have been previously answered.

Okay I usually don't do this, but please try to space out your words, and just write them correctly no abrieviations, cause it is extremely hard to understand what you are saying. Let me ask you a few questions:
Are you ready to spend countless hours fixing problems on your car?
Are you ready to have to search for a problem every time you mod your car?
Are you ready to take care of your car, and pay the extra to change your oil every 3 not 5 thousand miles, to change spark plugs a lot, to possibly have to rebuild your engine every few years, if you are going to be doing porting?
If you are ready to do all that, then you are ready to buy an FC and do the proper mods to make it quicker.

porting=accessto faceplates= dissassembling entire engine. insurance on my 89 t2 is 155 a month. fd for me would be 300 a month. it depends on ur age and location. Something breaks on an FC- cheap to moderately expensive. somthing breaks on an FD-moderatly expensive to emtpy bank account
if your just geting into rotariess, start with an FC. if your willing to commit to it after a while, then u can step up to an FD. Just my .02 cents -alex

I don't think I've ever heard of a TII that runs without anything wrong with it stock. If you port it wich is one of the main ways to gain real power, you are going to need to invest lots of money, and if you go to a large sized port, the stock turbo won't be able to handle it all, this means new turbo, more money. If you don't have the time, money, patience, and at least a limitied knowledge of these cars you really shouldn't own one.

I don't think an FC is suitable for your needs. I know people in your current situation, and I've found that the best car for them is a Civic with an aftermarket Type-R emblem. Seriously.
