Car wont start, I did a search
My 87 N/A wont start, it doesn't even turn over. It started just fine about a week ago before I put the new rear end in. But I left the Key in the on possition for a few days because when I pushed the car I had the key in there and forgot to turn it off and take it out. Im not sure if this would harm the car, but you're input would be apreciated on that. Here are some facts;
Facts:
- Car is a 87 N/A, pretty stock
- Car wont turn over or even make a noise when I turn the key
- Master Cylinder is not installed, but clutch pettal still goes down, stays down and deactivates the switch that prevents it from turning on when not depressed.
- Tranny is in Nutral when trying to start
- No blown fuses
- Battery shows over 12 Volts and all electrical accessories taht should work, work just fine (Head Lights Blinkers, etc...)
I would really like some input from you guys because I would like to solve this problem ASAP.
Thanks a lot,
James

PROBLEM SOLVED! Thanks for your help guys, but the problem was pretty simple. After looking at the clutch master cylinder I noticed that there was a tab on the part that conects to the pettle witch aperently hits a little switch. With it not installed on the car, it didn't hit the switch. So I press the switch, turn the key, and it starts. So for future reference, there is not one but two seperate buttons that need to be engaged by the clutch petel for the car to start. Hope that saves some one time in the future.
Thanks a lot,
James
