Car Wont start!!! flooded?

hey i just bought a rx7 like 2 weeks ago, and for the first week it was running fine and everything dandy, and one morning i tried to start it and just didnt want to turn over..before i noticed like sound coming from the fuel pump so i bough a new fuel pump and i installed it and its still doing the same thing..i try to clutch start it and everytime i just puffed white smoke out of the exhaust smelling like gas! could it be majorly flooded??

Yes.

Inplug the injector fuses or even better unplug the fuel pump. Crank it over. If it's flooded it should eventually sputter, run, then die soon after.

Same problem for me. Just recently started having issues with my 7 flooding. Never had a problem before until now. One thing I have noticed is that my gas mileage has suffered a little and the fumes coming from my exhaust could blind you from a mile away. After searching for answers I have come to the conclusion that it's my injectors causing the problem. I would consider looking into the same thing. I am going to take mine to a local shop that deals with 7's and have them clean and flow test em. Not too expensive either. Leaky injectors is what I'm thinking. Probably wouldn't be a bad idea to replace O2 sensor at the same time. Let me know what your outcome is.

Peace

push starting it and a popping the clutch also helps if it's flooded.

but if you are flooding like that you likely have leaky injectors, you're turning the car off without letting it warm up, or you have a low compression motor in need of a rebuild.
