Car wont start...definitley not flooded this time

Alright heres the problem. I went on vacation for about 3 days , so within those 3 days the car wasnt started. When i got back home, i go to start the car and the car doesnt even try to fire up. I can hear the fans and everything spinning. I checked to see if i was getting any spark, and i am. Took the sparkplugs out to see if i was getting ANY compression at all, and i am. I can smell gas when i turn the key, so i know it should be getting gas, but it just wont fire up. You know the sound it makes when its flooded, kinda like its about to turn over but it doesnt (i dunno how to explain this good, im stupid like that)? Well it doesnt even do that, the fan just spins. We tried kickstarting it by pushing it forward in 2nd gear and all that stuff, but it still wont fire up. Anybody know what could be the problem? Does it sound like i need a whole new engine or what? Im totally confused, somebody please help.

when you turn it over(try to start it), does the engine turn over? does it do anything? You said it has compression so I am assming it does but better to ask anyway. If it does not turn over properly, then it might just need a jump--sometimes a battery runs down a bit if it just sits. shouldnt do that after only three days but yours might be old. tell us exactly what it does when you turn the key. And go from there.

Were the plugs wet when you pulled them?

Im not good at explaining this (as you can see) but when i turn the key, the car doesnt like...studder?...at all. Unlike when the car was flooded, itd sound like it was ALMOST about to turn on, but then it would die back down again. In this case though, the car doesnt do that at all, it just sounds like everything spins but the car doesnt start up. When i took the sparkplugs out and everything and had somebody start it, i put my hands by the chambers to feel if any air was coming out and there was. I know im not being accurate by just using my hands, but it felt strong enough to me, felt like normal. When i took the spark plugs out, they were soaked, so i put in my old pair that i cleaned and it still did the same thing.

Could if be some sort of electrical problem? The car should be starting, its never done this, especially after only 3 days. My battery IS old though, but when i was starting it up, the meter said it had more than enough charge.

If your plugs "are soaked", as you put it, you're flooded...

Keep doing whatever "unflooding procedure" appeals to you, and keep pulling and drying the plugs... She'll start sooner or later...

Like i said, it aint flooded. It was the starter. I know how it sounds when its flooded and its not the same sound. After tapping the starter a bit, now it sounds normal, and now i can get it to start after unflooding it (of course its flooded NOW but thats from trying to start it so many times earlier), but im too tired so tomorrow im gonna take off the starter and get it rebuilt. Thanks for the help though everybody
