car won't start, click click nothing!

car won't start, click click nothing!

today i was driving and my intercooler piping clew off, i thought i put it back on so i went to start the car, it stalled and smoke came out, i chek the fuse, i blew the ignition fuse. replace that, now the car won't even turn over, i thought it was the battery but i have all electricals, what's goin on, alternator? batterty? starter???

HELP!!!!

heh did the intercooler pipe hit the two batery posts by chance?

Ahem-- though more seriously-- is their oil in the intercooler pipe? If so you may have a blown turbo, which makes starting a the rex pretty dificult-- or at least from what i hear...

Coincidentaly, check your batery posts. See that they are clean and the wires are secured firmly. Starter needs all the volts it can get. Short on volts due to a dirty post and all you will here is "click click" as the starter tries to engage but doesn't have enough power to turn the engine over.

hey thanks for the quick reply, my battery is in the back, i don't think there is oil in the piping, i cleaned it b4 i put it in, how do i do the post chek?

okay i chek the termianls fine fine fine, now the starter only makes a faint tick tick tick sound, and head lights are slow to come up, is it the battery? alternator?

recharge the battery with a battery charger. sounds like something may have shorted out and stolen alot of power from the battery. Or you left your interior lights on. Try to start it with the batery recharged. the click lick is the starter engaging but not having enough power to turn the engine. If it doesn't turn over with a fully charged battery, go to the next step... which osmeone can help you with, im off to bed. night all.
