Exclamation Car wont start, buzzing from passenger side dash

Ok here is my dillema:

Went to start my car and nothing happened, starter didnt even turn

Lights began to dimm down and I heard a semi-rapid beeping, it went; beep beep, beep, beep beep..

So I take my key out of the ignition and I hear a buzzing sound, it eventually stops and when it does stop, you hear a click. I tracked it down to be coming from under the passenger side dash. Once it clicks off, the door lights brighten slightly. Also, when the buzzing is happening, I can pus the brake and it will stop until I release the brake.

So I have nothing coming from the starter, no dash lights, very dimm warning lights, and a buzzing coming from under the passenger side dash.

I talked to a friend who mentioned a current draw, I am going to try and jump the car tomorrow and see what happens.

The 5 beeps you hear in succession is covered in the FAQ. It means your steering wheel is misaligned.

I forgot to add this, when the buzzing is coming from the passenger side, if I close the door it will stop, and when I open the door again, it will continue on again before clicking off

in an s4, under the passenger dash, you have theft-deterrent control unit, emission control unit, cooling fan control unit, atmostpheric pressure sensor, and a speaker and amp

not sure about an s5 for the units and locations of they are the same or not

Do you have an owner's manual? This may sound simple, but if you read it for your car, and you find out that you do have a theft deterrent system, you may find out a couple of things to solve your problem. It does sound like that the deterrent system is cutting out your ignition. Almost sounds like one of your lock switches is bad, and the ECU is reading it like it has been forced open without a key. I did think that the alarm system was supposed to be louder than what you described, though.

try using your key to unlock the trunk, close it and try to start your car.

Well the good news is that it was just a really dead battery, nothing an red top couldnt fix. Notw I gotta figure out if it was just simply from a really old battery or if I have some sort of current draw, which would suck
