car wont start. battery or fuse?
ok after school, gettin ready to go home, got into my car turned the ignition and car wont start. the radio wasnt going on and the headlights and horn wasnt going on either. i got someone to jump the car, but still the car wont start. the headlights and horn goes on but the radio doesnt and the car still doesnt start. we tried jumping the car 3 times and still, the same **** happens. headlights turns on and horn works but the radio doesnt and the car still doesnt start. can it be the battery? i think i left the parkin lights on in the morning, but can the parking lights on for 6 hrs be enough to actually kill the battery like that? or can it be something much worse like a ****** fuse or something? man the battery is brand new too, like a month old. so what the **** is going on? fuse or dead battery? HELP please..thnx

When you go to start the car does the starter solinoid click or is there no sound from under the car. also has your starter been spinning slowly over the past week or so. My car wouldn't start due to a faulty starter and your situatioin sounds very similar to mine.

It sounds like you just killed your battery. A fuse isn't worse, it's an easy fix. Under the hood locate your panel, it's a little box on the driver's side strut tower. Check the main fuse to see if it is blown. Your headlights are on a different circuit which explains why they work. Do any idiot lights come on, or power windows work? If not and the headlights come on, check your fuse panel.

If you tried to get a friend to jump you off you most likely blew the main fuse. It is the black one that says 80W under the hood. If you blew that one you probably blew your "Room" fuse in the fusebox just above the dead pedal on the inside.. It is one of the 12W fuses. I'd borrow a battery charger and do a "Quick Charge" at a high voltage for 10 minutes... If that doesnt work try and get someone to loan you their battery for a bit... Once, if, you get it started disconnect the battery cables while it is still running and reconnect your batterey... If that doesnt work its either the fuses or the starter.

1) Open your hood
2) Open your fuse box. Little black box with writing on it that is attatched to right strut tower
3) Check all the fuses. You do this by looking at the top of the fuse and seeing if the little metal band inside is not broken in 2. If it is broken in half, the fuse is blown.
4) If fuse is blown, take blown fuse to a local Autozone or something and ask for another one of these same fuses. Then take that new fuse and put it where the old one went.
If none under the hood are blown, look at the fuse box in the car. This located to the left of your brake and clutch pedal. Look in your owners manual to find the location. Repeat the same process as above.
