Car wont start after it was hit!!!!!

well my car was hit when parked for a couple hours. the front end was hit with the lights up. The passenger side light wouldnt go down back after unbending some stuff i got it to close, but my new problem is my car wont start even with a fully charged battery!!!!!!

does neone have a clue what would be causing the car not to start?? it doesnt even try to turn over and it doesnt make the clicking noise the starter does.

im going to try a push start tonight and see if that starts this sob up.

The fuel pump relay in on the radiator support, on the passenger side. It probably got smashed and doesn't work anymore. A push start won't help. You need to jumper the connector under the hood for the fuel pump and see if it kicks on.

if its not even cranking you lost a ground or broke a lead loose.

Are you sure the battery is full? and not sitting with a broken cell?

when i turn the key nothing happens and the interior light barely comes on. The battery was then put back in my dads van and his van started right up again.

Well some low compression cars can still start with two bad cell's in the battery (effectivly a 8volt battery at that point), I would want to try an different battery, or bring the van over and while it is running try jump starting your RX-7.

I am assuming you have already checked voltage and ground potential at the battery with a multi-meter?

Sounds like your headligight that you forced down, it's motor is probably still going which is what killed your battery. Try fully charging your battery and starting it up. My friends FC had the same thing happen. Someone side swiped his front end with his lights up, so he went home and forced the light down, bending some stuff like you, and the next day it wouldn't start because the motor for the light kept going and killed the battery. Good luck.

This may or may not help, but just thought id let you know. I had someone hit my car and it wouldnt start either. It would turn over and almost start, but then cut out. The reason? The airflow meter was dislodged and the wires were slightly disconnected. Since there was problems with that, the computer wouldnt let the car start. Just thought id throw that out there just in case

make a claim with ICBC, Hit and run - You only have to pay your deducatable, you dont loose points and your insurance doesnt go up. And they will fix everything. Key the car while your at it and get a free paint job out of the deal (make sure you key every panel - you might even get a new color if they have to paint the whole car). Make your 200-500 dollar deductable worth it!!!
