Car wont start

My car was running good two weeks a go. But yesterday it wouldn't start, so I tried boosting it, still wouldn't start, so i tried it with a different car same thing. When i turn the key, there is no sound what so ever and none of the interior lights work. Strangely the head lights work . I think it might be the battery terminals. Can someone point me in the right direction?

Thank You

1986 RX-7 N/A GXL^^

You need to check to see if your ignition switch is receiving voltage and one method for doing that is to check if your turn signal lights work.

Did it Roll over when you boosted it with another car?
It sounds like you have bad battery connections...and you also may have flooded it.

Turn the headlights on, then turn the key to start momentarily. Do the headlights dim when the key is in the start position?

If yes, the problem is in the starter, or the engine.

If no, likely an electrical problem. This could be as simple as a burned out ignition switch (been there done that).

It was the fuse, the 80 Amp under the hood. I think i might have happened when i was tring to boost the car two weeks a go. Thank god it wasnt anything too serious.

If the thread owner had done this simple three second test and had no turn signals with the key to ON, then Satch could have told you that you'd lost the elect feed to the ignition switch which in turn he would have asked you if the MAIN FUSE had blown or not. But you failed to pay attention to his question. That's life.

That was post #3 on the fifth of the month that he posted that question. Todays the ?? 11th.
