car wont start

wen i go to turn on the engine it only makes one click almost like the starter gets stuck and it wont spin the flywheel. i went to get the starter checked and it passed for a good starter.the starter is practically new. i had a leak in my water pump so i jus decided to jus take it off cause the fan was in the way and i wanted to see if the engine would turn over manuelly and it didn't. and yes i did take out the spark plugs. but when i went to take off the intake manifold and headers and pulled it off the tranny the engine turned over manuelly. battery is good. fuses are good. i tried push startin it when everything was together but wen i would et go of the clutch the whole car would stop

what could be the problem? could it be a wiring problem?

any kind of information would be helpful
thanks

My guess is one of your battery terminal connectors is screwy. Test for voltage past the battery (you can put your multimeter leads on the battery terminal connectors) when you put your key to the start position. This will probably take two people. Or you could just use your voltage gauge in your dash (if you have one)
